The Nový Jičín Region spreads through a picturesque landscape from the Low Jeseník promontory, across the fertile Moravian Gate valley, to the submontane belt of the Moravian Silesian Beskyd Mountains to the southeast. It is a region with an unusual concentration of monuments. There are three monument reservations in the towns of Nový Jičín, Štramberk and Příbor and three town conservation zones in the towns of Fulnek, Bílovec and Odry.
